Jeff Yanagi is Senior Vice President of Human Resources, leading the company’s efforts to attract, develop, and retain the best talent.
Since joining Pega in 2008, Jeff has played a critical role in positioning the organization as an employer of choice by introducing a series of successful global compensation and benefits practices, learning and development offerings. He has helped shape a corporate culture that has enhanced Pega’s ability to attract and retain the requisite talent to support its rapid growth.
Prior to Pega, Jeff held several senior HR positions at large global technology companies including Wang Laboratories, Lotus/IBM and CMGI. With more than 20 years’ experience in Human Resources, Jeff leads all Pega’s HR functions, including recruitment and staffing, compensation and benefits, training and development and employee relations.
Jeff is a passionate advocate for philanthropy in the workplace, as well as for the role of corporations in giving back to the community, a value that is underpinned by his position as Chair of the Pegasystems Charitable Works Committee. The Committee supports employees in their charitable endeavors by contributing funds, goods, and helping hands to a variety of philanthropic organizations, with a special focus on helping underprivileged women and children.
Jeff holds a brown belt in judo and in his youth, participated in numerous exhibitions and won a number of tournaments. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University.
