Pegasystems Thought Leaders Introduce “Process of Everything”
Contribution to Annual Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) publication extends Internet of Everything for next generation BPM
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – October 9, 2013 – Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA), the leader in Business Process Management (BPM) and a leading provider of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, today announced its thought leaders have again been selected to appear in the well-followed annual Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) on BPM. The handbook is in its 12th year and is used worldwide as a resource by education, business, and government. The 2013 edition is titled, “Intelligent BPM Systems: Impact and Opportunity” to highlight how intelligent BPM can help create the responsive organization of the future.
Pegasystem thought leaders Dr. Setrag Khoshafian, Chief Evangelist and Vice President of BPM Technology, and Don Schuerman, Senior Director, Solutions Architecture, co-authored a chapter in the book titled, “Process of Everything.” It discusses the opportunity that the BPM industry has to bring value and intention to the much discussed “Internet of Everything.” With goal-oriented process thinking, and the right real-time BPM technology, organizations can bring purpose to an internet composed of billions of connected devices ranging from the factory floor, to the family car, refrigerator, or wearable computers.
One of BPM’s early pioneers, Dr. Khoshafian is the author of several books and blogs on computing and BPM, including Service Oriented Enterprises. For over 25 years he has invented, architected and led the development of several BPM solutions, as well as advanced database management systems research and development projects. Schuerman has been evangelizing the best practices of advanced BPM for more than 15 years, architecting and delivering BPM and rules-based solutions, while assisting Fortune 500 companies for greater results in the process.
