Pegasystems and UEM Kolkata Launch Nation-Building Talent Program in Digital Technology

MoU strengthens Pega’s goal for producing globally in-demand Pega-certified professionals through deeper academic integration in India

INDIA – 05 August 2025Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA), The Enterprise Transformation Company™, today announced a partnership with the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata, to roll out a four-year academic program focused on embedding digital skills directly into engineering education.

As part of the “Graduation with Digital Skills” initiative, UEM students will be trained and certified on Pegasystems’ cutting-edge enterprise AI and workflow automation technologies, earning globally recognized certifications like PCSA (Pega Certified System Architect) and PCSSA (Senior System Architect). With Pega certified professionals in strong global demand, this certification will play a key role in enhancing their employability. 

The initiative will enroll 100–120 students annually in a 16-credit integrated program over four years. It includes real-world internships, hands-on capstone projects, industry mentoring, and faculty upskilling through Pega’s Train-the-Trainer (TTT) initiative.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of several global tech majors signaling the program’s deep industry alignment.  This partnership with UEM Kolkata strengthens Pegasystems’ academic footprint in Eastern India and sets a benchmark for how private universities can co-create talent pipelines with global tech leaders.
