The Business Issue

Siemens is a global industrial manufacturing powerhouse focusing on the areas of electrification, automation, and digitalization. In order to efficiently manage such a large global presence, the company needed to consolidate all legacy workflows, business process management, and case management solutions.

The Solution

Following a number of strategic evaluations, Siemens chose Pega as the best integrated solution in the market to launch the Global Master Data Management (GMDM) project. GMDM is a globally-aligned, end-to-end digital workflow solution for managing and consolidating all business partner master data across Siemens. It is fully integrated into the existing IT landscape and external data sources. GMDM covers the creation, updating, extension, blocking, and unblocking of business partners The solution ensures the highest possible data quality, reuse, and increased efficiency.

The Pega PlatformTM enables Siemens to easily build new local layers that are based on global standards while also meeting local legal requirements and customer needs.
