As the Head of Product Marketing for Platform Technologies, Ying Chen leads the strategy, positioning, and go to market for Pega’s industry recognized platform for digital transformation. Ying comes to Pega with more than 10 years of software product management experience leading Fortune 500 organizations and VC-backed startups with varying software development methodologies to deliver award winning product solutions and enabling enterprises to make the leap from water fall to Agile. Ying holds an MBA from Boston University Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Scott Merritt, Robotic Automation and Intelligence SME, comes to Pega as a part of the OpenSpan acquisition where as Vice President, he drove strategy and worked with customers across a broad spectrum of industries including financial services, insurance, and healthcare on how to effectively incorporate robotics as a part of enterprise transformation strategies. Merritt has 20+ years’ experience in enterprise technology, serving in both consultant and sales leadership roles. Additionally, Merritt has also worked as a Lean Process Consultant for Guidon Performance Solutions where he led a number of process reengineering engagements with several Fortune 50 companies. Merritt earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification over the course of his 10-year tenure at Cardinal Health in the finance, supply chain and operations business units.
Steve Rudolph is Pega’s global VP of Communications and Media, responsible for establishing the strategic direction for Pega’s industry-leading applications and growing its global presence in this vertical. He has a long history in the telecommunications and media industry with more than 20 years of experience in mobile, fixed, and cable, as well as a focus in customer lifecycle management and sales/service operations. Prior to joining Pega, he was a partner with McKinsey & Company in the telecommunications practice serving leading clients on a range of strategic and operational issues. Steve also brings extensive international experience from roles across Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Douglas Averill is the Global Business Line Leader for Pega’s Government Business. Formerly with the State of Maine and with more than a decade of experience in the Public Sector globally, Doug leads efforts to describe the value and transformative power of Pega’s applications and platform in creating operational efficiencies, being more responsive to legislative changes, and improving the constituent experience. His background also includes experience in sales management while working for United Technologies and leading analysis for a boutique M&A firm. His team coaches Public Sector stakeholders who are dedicated to truly transforming governments into a holistic, open platform to serve citizens. Doug holds a BS in Biology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
