The Business Issue

Mondelez International is one of the largest snack companies in the world. Its mission is to empower people to “snack right.” Within the organization’s global supplier management department, the objective is to maximize the value Mondelez’s vendors provide to the organization. To fulfill this objective, Mondelez employs a strategy of using multiple best-in-class software solutions for specific processes in procurement.

While this strategy produced good results, it also increased the complexity of operations, making it difficult to trace a project across multiple systems. In addition, duplicate data entries across systems were becoming a problem.

Mondelez International needed an application that enabled the global supplier management team to interconnect core procurement applications.

With Buyer Central, projects can be tracked across all systems, preventing duplicate entries of information. The dashboard within the system enables buyers to quickly know which applications are relevant to them.
