As a DevOps Engineer within Pegasystems’ Cloud Engineering organization, you will be part of a team responsible for enabling reliable, scalable, and efficient cloud-based application environments. You will work closely with development, operations, and support teams to help automate processes, improve system reliability, and streamline application deployments.

Description of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Automation & CI/CD (30%)

  • Support and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable application deployments.
  • Assist with automating routine operational tasks using scripting (Python, shell).
  • Participate in build, test, and deployment processes across development and production environments.
  • Help maintain tools used for deployment and release management.

Cloud Operations (25%)

  • Work within cloud environments (AWS preferred) to support application deployment and infrastructure operations.
  • Assist with provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud-based systems.
  • Support environment management across development, QA, and production stages.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting (25%)

  • Monitor application and system health using observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, PDC).
  • Analyze logs, metrics, and alerts to identify issues and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Troubleshoot deployment, performance, or infrastructure-related issues with guidance from senior engineers.

 

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Support continuous integration and deployment of applications across cloud environments.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to maintain platform reliability.
  • Assist in automating operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Work with teams across engineering to ensure smooth and reliable releases.
  • Contribute to improving system observability, deployment processes, and operational best practices.

 

Who You Are:

You are eager to learn and build expertise in DevOps, cloud engineering, and automation. You enjoy problem-solving and working in a collaborative environment. You are comfortable working with technical systems and are motivated to continuously improve both your skills and the systems you support.

 

What You've Accomplished:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, IT, or related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD concepts or tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) is a plus.
  • Understanding of application architecture, web technologies, or databases is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 145,600 - 217,600 PLN annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
