DoD: Modernizing requirements gathering to accelerate acquisition

After logging in, Marcus can see his dashboard and audit the past approved requirements that are ready for a new option year.
From here, he could look at some interesting capabilities that are provided out of the box with Pega. First of which is a full audit trail. This ensures accuracy when auditing the system. At the top of this screen, you can toggle this view to show the entire journey that this requirement has taken including all steps, who the work was assigned to, and the status of each task. If you look at the tabs at the bottom of the screen you will see the data contained within this requirement.
Because Pega enforces data standardization Marcus can duplicate this existing requirement for a new option year. Throughout this newly created requirement, field values that are not relevant in this new option year are not populated such as start and end date.
This is because Pega can intelligently reuse the existing data, the user experience and the processes, allowing for agility when creating applications using the platform. As this may not be work that Marcus does but once every year or two, he may not remember every special contextual piece of information on the screen. Pega has him covered, instead of having to retrain to use the system, he can use Pega's ability to guide a user by providing important messages in both a visual and textual manner. Marcus continues filling out the requirement adding the new option year details where needed.
Consider for a moment, just how much efficiency has been gained by a single push of a button? Thanks to Pega's intelligent digital process automation. These improvements to what would normally be a long drawn out manual process can now be completed in minutes. Once Marcus has finished updating this requirement for a new option year, it is time for the next step. This requirement is now ready to be automatically routed to the correct contracting officer for review.
