Our team of information security professionals is charged to protect Pega’s commercial cloud assets and offerings. We accomplish this by creatively working to deter, detect, deny, delay, and defend against internal and external security threats. The CSOC provides monitoring, detection, and incident response services for Pega Cloud.

As the Manager of Cloud Security Operations for the EU, you will build, lead, and inspire a new team of elite security professionals dedicated to defending our EU Sovereign Cloud offerings. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Pega's security posture in the region. You will be responsible for hiring and developing a team of six Principal and Senior analysts, establishing the operational rhythm, and defining the processes that ensure adherence to stringent EU Sovereign Cloud regulatory requirements. You will be the primary accountable leader for all EU-CSOC operations, serving as the crucial link between your team, senior leadership, and our compliance and engineering partners. Your strategic vision and leadership will directly impact the security and trust our European clients place in us, enabling them to transform their businesses securely on the Pega platform.
What You'll Do at Pega:
• Build and Lead the Team: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a high-performing, EU-based CSOC team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning through active coaching and mentorship.
• Own EU-CSOC Operations: Oversee all day-to-day security operations for the EU region, including threat monitoring, security investigations, and incident response. Serve as the primary point of escalation and decision-making for security incidents in the EU.
• Drive Regulatory Adherence: Develop and implement CSOC capabilities, processes, and documentation required to meet and exceed EU Sovereign Cloud regulations and other relevant data protection standards (e.g., GDPR, NIS2, ACN).
• Manage Performance and Metrics: Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to measure the effectiveness of the EU-CSOC and communicate posture, risks, and successes to senior leadership.
• Strategic Planning and Collaboration: Partner with global security leadership, compliance, legal, and engineering teams to develop and execute a long-term strategy for Pega’s EU security operations.
• Incident Management Leadership: Act as the accountable incident commander for significant security events in the EU, ensuring a timely and effective response from containment through eradication and recovery.

You thrive on the challenge of establishing new capabilities and have a deep understanding of what it takes to run a world-class Security Operations Center in a complex regulatory landscape. You are a strategic thinker who can translate regulatory requirements into concrete operational processes. You lead from the front, empowering your team while holding them to the highest standards. Your background in hands-on security work gives you the credibility and insight to guide your analysts through the most complex challenges. You excel at communicating with stakeholders at all levels, from technical analysts to executive leadership.
What You've Accomplished:
Your background and competencies include:
• 8+ years of experience in the information security field.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience, responsible for hiring, developing, and leading a team of security analysts in a 24/7 SOC environment.
• Demonstrable experience building or significantly maturing a security operations capability.
• Deep understanding of EU-specific regulatory and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, NIS2, ACN, and requirements for EU Sovereign Cloud.
• Proven experience as an incident commander or senior leader in major security incident response efforts.
• Strong foundational knowledge of cloud security principles and services in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience managing operations involving core security technologies like SIEM (Splunk, Chronicle/SecOps) and EDR/XDR platforms.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
It Would be Nice if You Also Have:
• Experience building a SOC or a regional security team from the ground up.
• Industry-recognized management or security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSLC).
• Experience in a rapidly growing, global SaaS or cloud service provider company.
• Hands-on experience with audit and compliance engagements related to security operations.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems Management, or a related field, or equivalent extensive industry experience.

Additional Information
Base salary range for this role is 267,200 - 414,800 PLN annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.
The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
