Principal Cloud Delivery Specialist

Pegasystems is seeking a Principal Cloud Delivery Specialist (PCDS) to play a critical leadership role within the Cloud Acceleration Group (CAG). This is a senior, client‑facing position responsible for driving complex, high‑impact cloud transformations and shaping the evolution of Pega’s cloud delivery practices.
As a Principal, you will operate as a trusted advisor to strategic clients, a technical authority across cloud delivery, and a key influencer across Product, Engineering, Cloud Advisory, and Client Success. This role goes beyond execution — it sets direction, removes systemic barriers, and raises the bar for how cloud transformations are delivered at scale.

Client Transformation & Technical Leadership
- Lead large‑scale, highly complex client transformations, including legacy modernization and on‑prem‑to‑cloud migrations.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for multi‑domain, high‑severity technical challenges.
- Own environment readiness across the full lifecycle—from development through production.
- Anticipate transformation risks and drive proactive mitigation strategies.
Strategic Delivery & Influence
- Advise and influence executive‑level client and internal stakeholders on approach, priorities, and success criteria.
- Shape transformation strategy and delivery models in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
- Align tactical execution with long‑term platform and client success outcomes.
Issue Resolution & Operational Excellence
- Lead the resolution of high‑severity issues requiring coordinated engagement across engineering, product, support, and cloud operations.
- Ensure rapid diagnosis, recovery, and transparent communication during critical events.
- Use advanced diagnostic tooling (e.g., PDC) to uncover systemic issues and drive long‑term reliability improvements.
Process, Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Define and evolve best practices, patterns, and standards for cloud transformations.
- Lead continuous improvement across tooling, methodology, and engagement models.
- Capture client insights and drive influential feedback into Product and Engineering.
- Mentor senior Cloud Delivery Specialists to elevate technical depth and delivery consistency across the team.

Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of relevant industry experience, including 5+ years in senior consulting, technical leadership, or cloud delivery roles.
- Deep Pega platform knowledge; CSSA required, CLSA strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading complex, enterprise‑scale client engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to operate credibly with executive‑level client stakeholders.

- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, PCF, GCP.
- Application servers: WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss.
- Databases: Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL, DB2/UDB.
- Languages & technologies: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, CSS/HTML.
- Operating systems: Linux, Windows, AIX, Solaris, z/OS.
- Integration: SOAP, MQ, JMS.

Additional Information
Base salary range for this role is 146,900 - 223,900 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.
The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
