Leon Trefler is Chief of Clients and Markets at Pegasystems, where he leads global sales and client success teams to ensure clients, prospects, and partners have exceptional experiences across every touchpoint – from initial engagement to long-term partnership. Since joining Pega in 1998, Leon has held every role in the sales organization, giving him a deep understanding of how to build high-performing teams and drive strategic growth.

In 2002, Leon led the commercialization of Pega’s workflow automation capabilities, which today form the foundation of the Pega Infinity™ Platform and its suite of strategic applications, including the latest Pega GenAI™ innovations. He has played a key role in expanding Pega’s global footprint, opening new geographies and vertical markets beyond its financial services origins.

A recognized authority on sales strategy, workflow automation, and client engagement, Leon has authored Selling@Pega and Managing@Pega, foundational guides that continue to shape how Pega’s teams connect with clients and drive outcomes. He strongly believes Pega’s values create a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and integrity – principles that shape how he leads and how Pega shows up for its clients. Leon also serves as executive sponsor for the Asian@Pega employee resource group and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College.
