Pegaworld 2016: Reforming the Criminal Justice System with Pega (Presentation)

In November 2014, a historic legislation was passed to reform the criminal justice system in the state of New Jersey. This decision mandated New Jersey Courts (NJC) implement bail reform changes by January 2017. This presentation will discuss the journey that NJC has taken to implement bail reform and show how Pega enables courts to evaluate the risk level a defendant poses to society, including the required monitoring of a defendant before trial. To meet this mandate, NJC is reusing assets from other Pega applications while leveraging Pega Mobile, case management and business rules engine capabilities.
