Senior Director of Compensation

**PLEASE NOTE: Due to the responsibilities of this role and the need for in-office collaboration, we are currently considering candidates who are within a commutable distance of our Waltham office.
As Senior Director, Compensation you will be responsible for leading the team to work closely with key stakeholders in understanding the business, identifying compensation needs and priorities and proactively providing compensation solutions and insights. As a manager, a key component of the role is to mentor/coach the team towards continued development and growth. You will be an active member of the Global Rewards team and will work on global projects and design and implement annual compensation programs, policies and procedures.

You lead with both vision and pragmatism—building equitable, globally scaled compensation programs, navigating evolving transparency requirements, and developing a high‑performing team that delivers impact, not just analysis.
What You'll Do at Pega:
- Develop and drive a comprehensive, forward-looking compensation philosophy and strategy that supports the company's talent and growth objectives, including maintain a robust job architecture and leveling framework to ensure internal equity and consistency across the organization.
- Prepare compensation committee materials, including proxy statement disclosures, peer group benchmarking analyses, and pay-for-performance assessments.
- Ensure all executive pay programs comply with applicable regulatory requirements, including SEC reporting obligations.
- Monitor compensation trends, emerging practices, and regulatory developments (e.g., EU Pay Transparency Directive, FLSA, state-level pay equity laws) to proactively adjust programs.
- Champion pay equity across the organization through regular audits, transparent reporting, and data-driven remediation strategies.
- Ensure compensation programs comply with global, federal, state, and local regulations, including emerging AI and pay transparency legislation.
- Leverage advanced people analytics and financial modeling to evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of compensation programs.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Legal to integrate compensation strategy into broader people and business initiatives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing compensation team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You've Accomplished:
- 10+ years Compensation or related experience
- Compensation Committee experience preferred including preparing executive compensation materials, navigating governance considerations, and translating complex outcomes into board ready recommendations
- Management experience preferred
- Very strong technical and analytical skills and focused on using automation to improve processes and enhance analysis
- Results-oriented while navigating rapid change and ambiguity
- Analytical thinker who seeks and finds answers in data
- Ability to collect and analyze data and prepare executive summary and recommendations
- Strong attention to details and excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information
- Has a strong understanding of the importance of data accuracy

Additional Information
Base salary range for this role is 222,200 - 344,900 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.
The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
