What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Drive the quality of Pega Cloud’s foundational services by working with infrastructure teams (Kubernetes, networking in cluster, logging, storage) to enhance testing and automation for those services.
  • Contribute to test automation, writing efficient and maintainable scripts for backend/microservices and infrastructure services.
  • Champion shift-left practices by actively participating in design reviews to ensure new features are testable and built for quality.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile (SCRUM) environment to deliver high-quality features.
  • Explore and embed AI-powered solutions into your daily work to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze, debug, and provide detailed reports for issues to help developers resolve them quickly.

Who You Are:

  • You are a passionate quality engineer with 3-5 years of experience, dedicated to test automation and code quality within a large-scale, enterprise cloud environment.
  • You are skilled in test planning, and execution, with a deep understanding of software testing best practices and a knack for debugging complex issues.
  • You possess strong expertise in backend/microservices/cloud infrastructure testing and automation.
  • You are a proactive and collaborative team player who thrives in an Agile setting and communicates ideas and plans effectively.
  • You have a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence and are excited by the opportunity to apply AI to improve quality engineering processes.
  • You think outside the box, using your experience to drive innovation and ensure an outstanding client experience.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in software quality engineering.
  • Proven, strong experience developing automation scripts, test plans and test cases for infrastructure services in a cloud environment (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
  • Hands-on experience with modern API and cloud infrastructure/backend testing tools.
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development methodology.
  • A strong desire to work with AI and an enthusiasm for leveraging it to improve daily work is a must.
