Meet Our Team:

The Global Enterprise Data Management team at Pega is focused on Data Warehouse, Analytics and Data Governance. Our job is to take data and transform it into actionable, consumable, information that is utilized at the executive levels.

Please note this role is hybrid 2x/week in Waltham, MA. We are unfortunately able to sponsor or transfer visas, nor work on OPT EAD or CPT EAD for this role at this time.

Data is the lifeblood of every business, particularly digital organizations. We're looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join our growing global team. You'll work with a diverse global team of Database Engineers, Analysts and Business Stakeholders to help Pega’s evolving Data and Analytics strategies.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Design and implement enterprise Data Engineering solutions are agile and scale with Pega’s business growth
  • Ensure data models are designed for flexibility to support future business needs and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering Team members across geographies to deliver on project requirements.
  • Help with the effort to create standards, processes, change controls for the Data Engineering team to ensure operational consistency.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or equivalent
  • Overall, 2 to 5 years of IT experience
  • 2+ years of Data Development experience
  • 2+ ETL / Data Integration / Bigdata Development
  • 1+ years Data Modeling, Data Cleansing, Data Profiling
  • Proficient in SQL Development
  • Python development adhering to industry standard best practices for data engineering
  • Big Data concepts (Streaming data to various apps from cloud platforms)
  • Knowledge on Big data technologies (Spark, HDFS, Kafka, any NoSQL DB)
  • Understanding of different structures of data like csv, excel, JSON, XML etc
  • Working knowledge on any one of the major cloud database technologies (GCP, AWS, Snowflake, Azure etc)
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS such as MSSQL, Oracle, SAP HANA

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 102,400 - 153,200 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
