The UI Engineer in DemoX is a hands-on front-end engineer with a strong user-experience mindset, responsible for building high-quality, reusable, and innovative user interfaces that power DemoX experiences. This role focuses on implementing engaging UI solutions for demos, proof-of-concept work, and experiential assets that showcase Pega’s platform capabilities in compelling, customer-ready ways.

The UI Engineer works closely with UX designers, Demo Engineers, and Sales teams to translate designs and concepts into polished, production-grade demo experiences. The role balances technical UI implementation, user-experience sensibility, and an innovation mindset.

the UI Engineer is expected to deliver well-scoped UI work independently with guidance, focus on execution quality, and contribute to innovation and reuse while growing toward more senior UI or UX-focused roles.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Implement front-end user interfaces for demos using Pega UI technologies and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Build responsive, reusable UI components aligned to UX designs and demo storytelling goals.
  • Translate UX designs, wireframes, and prototypes into working UI implementations.
  • Customize and extend existing demo assets while maintaining reuse and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with UX, Demo Engineering, Product, and Sales teams to deliver cohesive demo experiences.
  • Contribute to DemoX innovation initiatives through experimentation with new UI patterns and interactions.

Who You Are:

 

A result-oriented individual, driven with passion and ability to implement Quality best practices and lead quality initiatives.

  • 2-4 years of overall experience with Strong expertise in React
  • Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Proven ability to lead quality initiatives and contribute to strategic decisions
  • Excited about leveraging AI and emerging technologies for testing enhancement
  • Team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Worked in Agile Methodology and tools.
  • Forward-thinking approach to quality assurance challenges

What You've Accomplished:

  • Solid working knowledge of React
  • Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with component-based design and modern front-end development workflows
  • Comfort working in a learning-oriented, feedback-driven environment
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to collaborate across disciplines
  • User experience design sensibility and attention to usability and detail
  • Experience using or building with AI
  • Innovation mindset with curiosity and willingness to experiment and learn

Nice to have

  • Exposure to UX principles and design systems
  • Experience working with Figma or similar design tools
  • Interest in enterprise software, workflow tools, or data-heavy applications
