The technical foundation: Protocols that enable true interoperability
Pega is committed to open standards and interoperability with all AI agents. Every Pega Predictable AI Agent comes equipped with both Agent2Agent Protocol (A2A) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) support.
The Agent2Agent Protocol, designed by Google Cloud, provides a standardized framework for agent-to-agent communication, enabling bi-directional integration and orchestration of AI-driven workloads. Meanwhile, the Model Context Protocol ensures that agents can share context and tools effectively, creating a more cohesive user experience.
This protocol support means that any AI agent built on Pega can be rapidly integrated with larger AI networks and ecosystems like Gemini Enterprise, but more importantly, they can collaborate with other AI agents regardless of their underlying technology stack. This interoperability is the foundation of what we call the "autonomous enterprise" – an organization where AI agents work in concert to deliver seamless, intelligent experiences across all business processes.
Starting with knowledge: The Pega Self-Study Agent
Our first AI agent contribution to the Gemini Enterprise platform is the Pega Self-Study Agent, now available to enterprises using the platform.
