Accessibility Specialist, UX Engineering

You will contribute by providing your unique experience as a screen reader user and by your deep knowledge of W3C WCAG guidelines to help make our products more inclusive. Picture Yourself at Pega:
You will be joining Pega’s Accessibility Team to ensure that Pega’s products are built for compliance with applicable accessibility standards and legislation. As a team member, you will work closely with our design and engineering teams and be the point person driving accessibility best practices and solutions.
What You'll Do at Pega:
- Collaborate with our UX design, Engineering and Support teams to ensure that our out-of-the-box solutions and authoring tools meet accessibility and compliance standards
- Drive best practices through collaboration, training and documentation to optimize configuration and testing for accessibility across our platform and applications
- Innovate and drive product enhancements and priorities based on client and audit results and feedback
- Provide accessibility testing with various assistive technologies as required by our clients
- Partner with our support team to assess and resolve client accessibility-related issues
- Partner with our design and engineering teams to optimize our client experience when it comes to their goals around accessibility
Who You Are:
You will be successful in this role at Pega if you are a self-starter, independent worker, interested in learning new software and not afraid to engage and ask questions. You are a good communicator and comfortable talking to technical or business representatives within an organization. Also,

What You've Accomplished:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in testing websites to ensure conformance to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, AAA, Section 508.
- 3+ years of experience using screen readers daily, such as JAWS, NVDA or VoiceOver
- IAAP, 508 Trusted Tester or other recognized certification
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards i.e. WCAG, APG and ARIA
- Good oral and written communication skills
