Pegasystems expands Pega exchange marketplace for more productive and collaborative application development

Online ecosystem provides business users and developers with apps, functions, and components to enhance existing solutions and beta test new ideas

LAS VEGAS – June 6, 2016Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA), the software company empowering the world's leading enterprises with strategic business applications, today announced at its annual Pegaworld conference the expansion of Pega Exchange, a curated online marketplace for applications, add-on components, and useful utilities. This expansion provides business users and developers with access to more than 90 apps and reusable components from Pegasystems, its partners, and the broader developer community, which enable users to enhance their existing Pega solutions.

The Pega Exchange saves organizations time and resources by providing downloadable building blocks that enable users to quickly build new applications or add and deploy robust features to existing applications. This improves overall productivity, application quality, and time to market while adding advanced functionality.

The expanded marketplace includes add-on components and connectors from Pega partners such as DocuSign, a global leader in Digital Transaction Management (DTM) and e-Signature technology, and Box, a leading content management platform. It also enables third-party developers to upload their own finished applications and add-ons and gain recognition for their contributions to the greater Pega community. The website is closely monitored to ensure users have access to the highest quality building blocks for their own applications, as well as corresponding documentation on compatibility and installation.

The Pega Exchange will also house Pega Innovation Labs products – applications and components in beta that will be available for users to tinker with and test. For example, new components will allow users to create their own applications by drawing directly on tablets and other touch-enabled devices.

All Pega applications are built on the Pega 7 Platform, which enables developers to quickly evolve applications with components such as those from the Pega Exchange to meet changing customer and business requirements. The platform ultimately delivers end-to-end customer experiences that integrate front and back-office operations and run across multiple business lines, channels, and customer segments, in the cloud and/or on premises.

Pega Exchange is available and being demonstrated at Pega's annual Pegaworld conference, held this week in Las Vegas. To browse the offerings, download the apps, or upload your own, visit the Pega Exchange at pdn.pega.com/exchange.
