As a Consulting Manager, you will sit at the intersection of technology leadership and people development — guiding a talented team of Pega consultants while building trusted, long-term relationships with senior executives at Japan's leading organizations. You will shape how Pega's cutting-edge GenAI capabilities transform complex business challenges into elegant, scalable solutions, and you will be a key voice in growing Pega's consulting presence across Japan.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Lead high-impact client engagements across Japan, acting as an Engagement Leader, Business Architect, or System Architect Team Lead to ensure exceptional delivery outcomes aligned with Pega Express methodology.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of 10–12 System Architects, Technical Architects, and Business Architects through active coaching, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and structured career progression.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives and change sponsors, presenting options and recommendations with clarity, confidence, and a deep understanding of Japan's key industry verticals.
  • Drive talent excellence by partnering with Talent Attraction to recruit top candidates, managing the full hiring lifecycle, and championing Pega certification goals — including PCSA and CLSA credentials.
  • Shape practice strategy by collaborating with Business Line Leaders to identify emerging trends in Japan, position Pega's thought leadership, and stay current on the latest platform releases and GenAI capabilities.
  • Champion customer success by maintaining continuous focus on client outcomes, surfacing and escalating issues proactively, and partnering closely with clients, system integrators, and Pega's local and regional teams.

Who You Are:

You are a seasoned consulting leader who blends deep Pega platform expertise with a genuine passion for developing people and delivering exceptional client outcomes. You bring the technical credibility to earn the respect of your engineering team and the executive presence to build lasting relationships with Japan's most senior stakeholders. You communicate fluently in both Japanese and English, thrive in multicultural environments, and are energized by Pega's AI-first direction and the pace of change it brings.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 12–15 years of experience; or a Master's degree (MS) with 9–12 years of experience.
  • Pega expertise: At least 5 years of hands-on Saas experience. Specificly in BPM product area.
  • Domain knowledge: Demonstrated implementation experience in one or more of the following: Financial Services, Healthcare/Insurance, Decisioning (Customer Decision Hub), System Architecture, or Business/Engagement Leadership.
  • People leadership: Proven track record in people management, including performance management, coaching, and team development in a Japanese or multicultural environment.
  • Language proficiency: Business-level or higher Japanese communication skills; business-level English for internal collaboration.
  • Partner experience: Familiarity working with major Japanese system integrators such as NEC, Fujitsu, or NTT Data is a strong plus.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 75%, primarily within Japan and occasionally across the APAC region.
