Picture Yourself at Pega:

Pega is looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and driven Partner Manager with deep roots in the Japanese technology ecosystem. You will be responsible for driving partner solutions development, marketing, and delivery excellence with a portfolio of strategic partners — including major Japanese system integrators and technology firms. This includes business development initiatives, working closely with alliances counterparts to ensure execution at the region, vertical, account, and opportunity levels. You will design and execute business plans with each assigned partner to deliver license revenue through development of strategies, programs, initiatives, and/or solutions needed to effectively assist Pega's sales teams in Japan and across the Asia-Pacific region.

What You'll Do at Pega:

A primary objective of the Partner Manager is to drive programmatic partner engagement focused on programs, initiatives and solution development, sales training, sales strategy, tools, and promotional incentives designed to cultivate a self-sufficient channel scalable to support the revenue goals of Pega in Japan. You will develop and manage relationships with assigned partners — with particular emphasis on Japan's leading technology and consulting organizations — to sell the value of a joint Pega and Partner value proposition to sales teams in your region, vertical, or territory. In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with an assigned portfolio of partners, including major Japanese system integrators such as NEC, Fujitsu, Hitachi and NTT Data, to increase their selling capabilities and align go-to-market sales strategies with Pega's sales teams.
  • Develop partner vertical solutions that drive sales for assigned partners and Pega, with sensitivity to the priorities and operating culture of the Japanese enterprise market.
  • Help evangelize key partners to the Pega sales teams, helping them understand the value of selling with key partners in the Japanese context.
  • Create partner profiles, highlighting key differentiators, use cases, and strengths for consumption by Pega sales teams operating in Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
  • Align and coordinate Pega resources (including sales, pre-sales & technical enablement, marketing, product) necessary to help partners achieve success with their Pega practice in Japan.
  • Evangelize Pega throughout your assigned partner organizations in Japan (focusing on client-facing personnel), as well as more widely in the partner community to increase awareness of Pega's GenAI and intelligent automation capabilities.

Who You Are:

You are an expert relationship builder with a proven track record of developing strategic partnerships in the Japanese technology market that generate mutually beneficial revenue for your company and your partners. You understand the partner co-sell and resell models and have demonstrated success by influencing closed revenue or sourcing opportunities through these partnerships through strategic planning and execution. You appreciate the nuances of Japanese business culture — including the importance of trust-based, long-term relationship building (ningensei) — and bring both the credibility and communication skills to engage effectively at senior levels within Japan's leading technology organizations. You are a thought leader in your industry, understanding the needs of customers embarking on their digital transformation journey. You also excel at collaborating with multiple parties to produce solutions that include sales assets such as customer presentations, battle cards, brochures, and more.

  • Native Japanese language proficiency (written and spoken) is required. High-level English proficiency (business level or above) is essential for collaboration with global Pega teams and international partners.
  • Experience in alliances, consulting, and/or business development experience in the technology or business consulting industries, with a strong preference for experience gained within the Japanese market.
  • Demonstrated experience working with major Japanese technology partners such as NEC, Fujitsu, Hitachi or NTT Data in a business development, alliances, or consulting capacity is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of industry experience (business or technical) in one or more of the following industries:  Financial Services, Insurance, and/or Government, Communications and other sectors — ideally with exposure to the Japanese enterprise sector.
  • Experience building partner programs to cultivate effective co-sell relationships, particularly within Japan's system integrator ecosystem.
  • Experience working effectively across different sales, business development, and technical teams, bringing together a cross-functional team to deliver results in a multicultural environment.
  • Solid understanding of professional services sales and delivery models as practiced by major Japanese technology firms.

What You've Accomplished:

You should have a demonstrated ability to translate technical solutions into strategic business outcomes — particularly within the Japanese enterprise technology context. Critical to this position is the ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, leadership, account executives, and other alliances executives — both locally in Japan and globally across Pega — to effectively create true win-win partnerships. Experience successfully co-developing or co-selling solutions with one or more leading Japanese system integrators (such as NEC, Fujitsu, Hitachi or NTT Data) will be a significant advantage.
