Associate Cloud Development Engineer
Meet Our Team:
The Cloud Engineering: Platform Deployments & Data Services team builds and supports reliable, scalable cloud environments that power the Pega Platform and its applications. As part of this team, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to help provision, configure, deploy, and maintain cloud-based systems using modern technologies like containers, databases, and cloud infrastructure tools.
This role is based out of our Waltham, Massachusetts office.

What You'll Do at Pega:
- Support the development and maintenance of cloud deployment and infrastructure solutions under the guidance of senior engineers
- Assist with implementing updates and improvements to cloud environments while following established best practices
- Help ensure platform reliability and scalability by working with cloud services and container technologies
- Write and maintain clean, well-documented code using languages such as Java or Go
- Participate in testing, automation, and deployment activities to help ensure quality and stability
- Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot issues and learn how to resolve production and non-production incidents
- Learn and apply cloud-native and DevOps concepts through hands-on work and mentorship
Who You Are:
- An early-career software or cloud engineer eager to learn and grow in cloud databases
- Comfortable working in a team environment and open to feedback and coaching
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to build foundational skills in cloud technologies
- Able to communicate clearly and ask questions when learning something new
- Interested in cloud databases, infrastructure, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage tasks with guidance and support
What You've Accomplished:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or entry-level experience working with software development or cloud technologies
- Basic familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python
- Exposure to relational databases and SQL concepts
- Introductory knowledge of containers (Docker) and an interest in Kubernetes or cloud platforms
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic CI/CD concepts is a plus
- Willingness to learn tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud services through on-the-job training

Additional Information
Base salary range for this role is 76,200 - 113,800 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.
The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
