The Field Operations team plays a critical role in enabling sales success by providing operational excellence, insights, tools, and cadence support across the business. In Japan, this role is especially important in bridging local business needs with APJ and global alignment.

As a Field Operations & Enablement Analyst – Japan, you will support Japan sales leadership and the APJ Field Operations Director by delivering high‑quality operational execution, data analysis, and enablement support. You will partner closely with Sales, Sales Management, and regional stakeholders to ensure forecast discipline, pipeline visibility, and effective use of tools and processes.

This is a hands‑on individual contributor role suited for someone who enjoys being close to the business, solving problems, and making a tangible impact behind the scenes.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Execute day‑to‑day operational activities supporting Japan and APJ Field Operations
  • Support Sales Cadence activities including Forecast calls, Pipeline reviews, and QBRs through preparation of data, insights, and presentations
  • Prepare ad‑hoc and recurring reports using tools such as SAP HANA, Power BI, and Excel to support sales performance analysis
  • Provide first‑tier support, triage, and user guidance for Field Operations systems and sales toolsMonitor and maintain Sales Org Structures and Operator Hierarchies, ensuring accuracy for Japan and alignment with regional standards
  • Partner with Sales, Enablement, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve data or process issuesSupport enablement initiatives by helping sales teams effectively adopt materials, tools, and best practices
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains, including use of GenAI where appropriate
  • Contribute to cross‑regional projects and business transformation initiatives as needed

You are a reliable, detail‑oriented Sales Operations professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You enjoy supporting sales teams by bringing structure, data, and clarity to complex situations.

You take pride in accuracy, follow‑through, and being someone others can depend on. You are comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with stakeholders across Japan and the wider APJ region.

Crucially, you are confident operating in a bi‑lingual business environment, communicating clearly and professionally in both Japanese and English. You are able to translate not just language, but also intent—bridging local Japan needs with regional and global expectations.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Supported sales operations or field operations teams in a B2B or enterprise environment, contributing to forecast accuracy and pipeline visibility
  • Created, maintained, or enhanced reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs for business reviews and leadership discussions
  • Acted as a trusted operational partner for sales managers and client‑facing teams, supporting cadence activities such as Forecast, Pipeline, and QBRs
  • Provided first‑line support and training for sales systems or operational tools, helping users resolve issues efficiently
  • Collaborated effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Enablement, Operations, IT) to solve data or process challenges
  • Contributed to process improvements or standardization initiatives that improved efficiency, consistency, or data quality
  • Demonstrated strong bilingual business communication skills in Japanese and English, supporting local Japan stakeholders while partnering with APJ or global teams
  • Able to read, write, and communicate professionally in both languages
  • Comfortable participating in meetings, preparing materials, and handling operational communication in Japanese and English

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience in Sales Operations, Field Operations, Business Operations, or a related function
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with reporting or BI tools preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Customer‑service mindset with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting sales teams in a regional or matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with CRM or sales automation systems
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Interest or exposure to enablement, automation, or GenAI‑driven productivity
