Group Director, Innovation and Emerging Technologies, Coca-Cola
Mr. Kushala Silva is leading the Innovation and Emerging Technologies group for BIG. In this role, Kushala works closely with BIG’s services solutions teams to support BIG International. He provides thought-leadership to both BIG and bottling franchise leadership in building innovative capabilities for bottling business. These IT innovations are positioned to disrupt sales and operations, consumer engagement, and operational efficiencies for bottling. Kushala also work closely with Coca-Cola commercial leadership, vendor partners, and startups to build the innovation portfolio for BIG.
Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Kushala spend 10 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G) where he led the Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies group. During his tenure at P&G, he had a variety of assignments that includes developing the company’s “Paperless Selling” solution for the Beauty Care business, leading the e-commerce strategy for P&G’s Pet Care business, and building the BI capability for financial reporting. Also, Kushala led one of the top digital marketing innovations (consumer engagement) for P&G to-date, “Raising an Olympian,” for the London Olympics 2012 campaign.
Prior to P&G, Kushala worked in Scandinavia as a project manager. Kushala also enjoys working with the community and was previously an adjunct professor of Project and Program Management at the University of Cincinnati.
