PegaWorld 2018: Call for Presentations

Thank you for your interest in speaking at PegaWorld 2018! With a tremendous response in 2017, we are thrilled to invite our customers to join in the Call for Presentations (CFP) again this year. Below are some guidelines to help guide you through the submission process.

PegaWorld’s Call for Presentations will remain open until 5pm EST October 24, 2017.

Our aim is to have all notifications announced by December 8, 2017. Notifications will be sent to the contact who submitted the proposal.

Submit Your Proposal

All PegaWorld content must be submitted through the Call for Presentations. Priority will be given to proposals submitted by Pega customers. Pega partners who submit on behalf of their customers are strongly encouraged to have a customer as the featured speaker.

What makes a good proposal?

A good proposal showcases the strength of Pega technology through connecting an aspirational concept or business problem to measurable outcomes or specific solution architected to solve a problem. Specifically, the best proposals will successfully accomplish one or more of the following:

  • Highlight how Pega technology is used to engage your customers in marketing, service, sales, onboarding, fulfillment, etc.
  • Illustrate how Pega’s model driven technology has been used to build apps and/or enable business collaboration
  • Showcase rapid delivery or demonstrate how customers are accelerating delivery (DevOps and CI/CD – continuous integration continuous delivery)
  • Highlight cloud technology

How do good proposals do this? Through providing a well thought out and clearly articulated abstract. Remember, the abstract is also what will be published on the website and will be the public-facing view of what your breakout session is about. It should be compelling and clearly communicate what attendees can expect to learn from your session.

What to expect

Proposals go through multiple evaluations. During the review process you may be contacted for additional information. Our aim is to notify all submitters with a decision by December 8, 2017. Due to the high volume of submissions we are unable to provide specific feedback. Should your proposal be approved, you will then begin a multi-step process to develop your presentation. This process helps both new and experienced speakers stay on target for session delivery and ensure you develop the best session possible.

Submissions may be accepted for inclusion in the PegaWorld 2018 agenda in a variety of ways including:

  • Customer Case Study - highlights a specific business problem, shares insights into how the project was justified internally, and provides measurable outcomes or ROI
  • Customer How To - technical in nature, these sessions are delivered by Pega customers who “build cool stuff” by defining a specific problem and then digging into exactly how a solution was architected
  • Spark Talks - designed to fuel your imagine and spark innovation, these sessions are inspirational in nature and designed to provide thought leadership or different perspectives on a specific topic or common theme
  • Product Spotlights - led by Pega and often supported by customer examples, these sessions dive into the latest and greatest on Pega’s products, capabilities, and functionality
  • Bootcamps - technical deep dive sessions

Acceptance notifications will clearly articulate the capacity in which the proposal has been accepted for inclusion in the PegaWorld 2018 agenda. Although we cannot guarantee session preference type, we will do our best to accommodate where possible.

Session Details

PegaWorld 2018 sessions will be held on Monday, June 4 and Tuesday, June 5 and are 45-minutes in length. We recommend you plan 35-40 minutes for your presentation and leave the last 5-10 minutes for questions and discussion. Bootcamp sessions will be held on Wednesday, June 6 and are 90 minutes in length, but the customer led portion would only encompass a portion of the time. If your submission is selected as part of a bootcamp session, your Pega contact will be able to provide you with further details.
