The resulting solutions, in systems like their core claims administration platforms, has eliminated manual processing during claims adjudication and interrogates 500,000 claims per day from a total volume of 2 billion service invocations across UHG’s two largest claims systems. With a reduction of more than 200 claims examiner staff, the cost savings alone is estimated at over $7 million annually.
