Principal Applications Engineer, Financial Services Onboarding

Meet Our Team:

We are recruiting for our team in Krakow, part of the Pegasystems Industry Applications Development function. This team is responsible for the development of industry solutions and functional components within the Financial Services domain, and it is specialized in Client Risk and Due Diligence (CRDD), which includes products like Client Lifecycle Management and Know Your Customer (CLM/KYC) and Alert and Investigation Management (AIM), used by some of our top tier Financial Institution clients.

The team works is coordination with other IAD teams across the globe in the development of business solutions. Its team members are responsible for the technical and functional quality of the developments, as well as for providing punctual assistance to the implementation and support teams that ensures the successful implementation of Pega products in our clients.

As a Principal Application Engineer in the Industry Applications Development team, you will have the opportunity to work in the definition, design and implementation of business functionality for the CRDD industry solutions. You will work in an agile team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches the market requirements. You will also be asked to lead certain aspects of the design and development process, as well as to help in the mentoring of other team members and in growing the overall technically abilities of the team.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• Design, develop and implement high quality industry solutions that conforms with design patterns and best practices using Pega Platform.
• Collaborate with the scrum team and main stakeholders to define functional and technical solutions according to business and architectural requirements.
• Conduct technical proofs of concept to establish the feasibility of architectural and technical solutions.
• Work with the scrum team and other stakeholders on all aspects of the overall delivery process.
• Design, develop and implement high quality industry solutions that conforms with design patterns and best practices using Pega Platform.
• Collaborate with the scrum team and main stakeholders to define functional and technical solutions according to business and architectural requirements.
• Conduct technical proofs of concept to establish the feasibility of architectural and technical solutions.
• Generate documentary artefacts for the implemented solutions, including architecture, design and implementation documents. Present the documentation to the relevant stakeholders when required.
• Provide punctual support to Consulting Services and Global Customer Support teams on client-reported defects, helping them during the root cause and impact analysis, and in the definition of solutions. Support Solutions Consultants in the preparation of sales opportunities.

What You've Accomplished:

• 6+ years of application software development experience, preferably in a product development company.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer applications or other related fields that provided you with strong knowledge of software engineering concepts and practices.
• Experience in the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade business applications and functional components.
• Prior experience in different industries and business domains. Experience in Financial Services would be a plus, as well as in Client Onboarding or KYC applications.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Cycle (SDLC) and experience in Agile/Scrum development methodology.
