Low-code and RPA: Not low IT

Tuesday, Oct 22: 10:30-11:15 AM

Enterprise low-code application platforms deliver many powerful benefits: speeding up delivery and time to value by empowering citizen developers; harnessing the combined power of people across the enterprise; and enabling design thinking, agility, and multi-experience development. But to get the most from low-code app dev, IT must take a leadership role. In this session, we’ll share best practices for building an enterprise low-code factory that empowers the business while securing compliance, reducing risk, and promoting reuse. We’ll dig into examples of how IT leaders in financial services, high tech, government, and healthcare have supported the deployment of hundreds of low-code apps, meeting dynamic business needs while maintaining governance and controls.

RPA: The Keys to Success

Wednesday, Oct 23: 10:15-11:00 AM

Just knowing the technology behind robotic process automation (RPA) isn’t enough; IT professionals need to ask the right questions as we work to support RPA efforts in our organizations. Are clients receiving the outcomes they expected? How are they dealing with the potential long-term technology debt that arises when dozens of well-intentioned shortcuts collide with one another? How can we best avoid the penalty of high TCO and the constant maintenance of bots behaving badly? And how can RPA successfully support overall intelligent automation strategies? Don’t miss this session featuring observations from industry experts who’ve seen RPA successes and failures firsthand.
