Software Engineer (Kotlin, Microservices)

Picture Yourself at Pega:

You will design and implement new features, while keeping all the existing data safe and available only for authorized users. You will work with the team to ensure high performance and scalability of the service. You will also work on service observability, so that all issues are alerted and remediated immediately. You will ensure high quality with several levels of automatic tests. 
 

What You'll Do at Pega:

• Be part of the team responsible for design, implementation, testing and maintenance of the service, 
• Use Kotlin, SpringBoot, MongoDB, Kafka, testing frameworks and other technologies for the development of the service, 
• Use Kubernetes, AWS, Grafana among other technologies for the deployment, operations and maintenance of the service,  
• You are expected to actively propose and discuss new features, improvements and solutions to challenges faced by the team and the service.

Who You Are:

• You are a skilled software engineer, who has expertise across multiple technologies and tools, passionate about exploring/applying solutions to help solve real business problems. 
• You are willing to work in rapidly changing landscape. 
   

What You've Accomplished:

• Ideally 2-3 years of professional experience,
• Experience in development of Kotlin or Java applications, 
• Experience in microservice architecture is a plus (like SpringBoot/Micronaut, MongoDB Atlas, Reactive Streams, Jenkins, Kubernetes, AWS, Grafana),
• Proven track record in delivering and operating a service would be a plus,
• BA/BS degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science is a plus,
• Very good command of English.
