Principal Cloud Development Engineer, Management Plane Services (Multiple Openings)
What You'll Do at Pega:
- Guide My Pega Cloud application development.
- Support Cloud Operations’ use of the GOC application in US time zones.
- Work on POCs with the team Architect and management to improve the overall application user experience and performance.
- Build highly available, scalable cloud-native systems using the Pega platform and AWS.
- Guide team members in completing sprint work and coordinating code reviews.
- Work with product owners and stakeholders to prepare end-to-end designs and architecture for Pega Cloud features.
- Design and understand overall test coverage and ensure quality gates pass before code migration.
- Using the Pega DevOps tool, build CI/CD pipelines to enable automated code migration to higher environments and maintain the pipeline.
- Mentor junior team members and prepare them for their next role.
- Review, suggest changes, and approve all the design documents for the new features to be developed.
- Research to assimilate multiple technologies and integrate them into an effective solution.
- Build tools to stabilize and improve the overall performance and health of the application.
- Prepare SOP documents for end users to train and ease the application’s usability.
- Share knowledge with juniors on new features added to the Pega Platform.
- Demonstrate the features built by team to internal and external stakeholders, gather feedback, and work with the product owner to accommodate the feedback received.
Who You Are:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field of study, and
- 7 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving software development using Pega Platform.
- Will accept Master’s degree and 5 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience.
- Experience specified must include 7 years of experience (or 5 years of experience if Master’s degree) with each of the following:
- Implementing code that meets engineering excellence standard with minimal oversight; and
- designing and developing highly scalable and performant features using Pega Platform.
- Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with AWS Services.
- Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with each of the following:
- REST services with OAuth; Pega Units and Performance tools such as PAL;
- Jenkins, Selenium Cucumber and PostgreSQL; and
- Java.
- Must be certified as Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA).
- Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
- Must live within normal commuting distance from the Pegasystems Inc. office in Waltham, MA.
