Valuing diverse heritage and perspectives in the workplace

What really makes Pega a special place to work is our employees, who work around the world and around the clock. Pega employees are engineers, artists, business professionals, and so much more, and we’re committed to supporting and celebrating their diversity in the workplace. One way we do this is through employee resource groups (ERGs), and we're excited and proud to share more about our unique global family by announcing our newest ERG, Latinx @ Pega.

Furthering our culture of inclusion: Hispanic Heritage Month

The launch of Latinx @ Pega coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from September 15th to October 15th, which honors the rich culture and meaningful contributions of people whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. September 15th kicks off Hispanic Heritage month because on that date in 1821, the states of the Central American Federation – Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua – declared their independence from Spain. In 1810, two countries declared independence from Spain: Mexico on September 16th and Chile on September 18th. Lastly, Belize declared its independence from Great Britain the following year on September 21, 1981.

Hayden Stafford, President of Global Client Engagement, will serve as the executive sponsor for Latinx @ Pega, providing strategic direction to the group in the areas of recruitment, advancement, and social impact. There will be events throughout the month, including trivia games, music sharing sessions, and an executive roundtable.

Building an environment where global voices and stories meet

Latinx @ Pega is the sixth such group Pega has created in the past 18 months. Today, collectively, our ERGs have more than 1,000 active members. Other ERGs include Women @ Pega, Pride @ Pega, Black @ Pega, Veterans @ Pega, and Asian @ Pega.

We are a global company where brilliant minds can connect to share their ideas and stories and learn from one another. Inclusion and diversity mean adapting to the changing needs of diverse talent, clients, and markets to create an environment that welcomes differing opinions on how to solve problems and innovate. A truly inclusive culture activates a wellspring of creativity and, more than ever, is critical to building, growing, and innovating long into the future.

We’re on a mission to connect, engage, and empower people. Visit Careers at Pega for a full listing of available opportunities around the globe, and follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor to learn more about #LifeAtPega.
