One of the many great things about using the Pega 7 Platform is that you have a permanent invitation to an active and robust community. The Pega Discovery Network (PDN) has had an exciting year, and we’re happy to announce we have many updates to share and many more in the works.
You may have noticed the new look and feel of the PDN. Our creative, community, and user experience teams are continually working to give you a unified visual experience across all of Pega’s digital landscapes. We’ve streamlined navigation to be more intuitive, easy to use, and consistent across our sites.
Of course, we know that many of you navigate the PDN by searching for specific content. We’ve moved the search box to be front and center on the PDN, and we’ve implemented search ahead capability, as well as faceted search. Google indexes all of our content, so you can easily search from there as well, though searching within the PDN may be smoother, give our advanced search tools.
Forums moving forward
We know that the forums are a key place for discussion and help for our community.
We’ve improved the forum experience on the PDN, and more improvements are on the way.
Global Customer Support will be moving its community from the Mesh to the PDN in early Summer, so you can access the forum without having to log in to a different site. There will be a new look and feel, improved functionality, and other Pega forums will also be moving to this new format. Stay tuned!
Earning while learning
Earning your wings? Spread those wings! PegaPASS is our new subscription service to Pega Academy. Instructor-led training, self-study training, online mentoring – it’s all there. Prices and subscription packages will vary based on the needs of your group, and Pega Academy is always adding courses, videos, and more.
Just ask – or tell
We’re always here for your Pega and PDN questions, comments, and suggestions. Trust me, your feedback will not go into a black hole!
Our PDN team has a solid system in place for your requests, which will be routed to the appropriate person and responded to as quickly as possible. We’re always interested in your experience, so please know that your suggestions now will affect changes in the near future. If you haven’t registered as a PDN user, or you’ve registered but haven’t visited in a while, we’d love to see you: register or sign in here.
Personally, I’m constantly impressed by the helpful collaboration on the site. Just visiting the forums shows what a sharp, hard working community you are – and the focus and dedication of our PDN team: Pega Academy instructors and course designers, the technical documentation team, support staff, and developers.
To all of our active PDN users: The community is thriving because of you! Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for making the PDN such a great place to contribute, learn, and advance.
