Sales constantly brings the opportunity to solve problems, and at Pega I get to work with some of the largest and most interesting clients out there.

Since October is career empowerment month at Pega, we wanted to chat with Bronson – an Enterprise Sales executive in our Asia-Pacific region who began his Pega career as an Inside Sales rep, moved to an Account Executive role, and has been on a roll ever since!

What do you love about sales?

For me, I really enjoy being outside my comfort zone. Sales constantly brings the opportunity to solve problems, and at Pega I get to work with some of the largest and most interesting clients out there.

Describe your career journey. What first led you to Pega?

My first foray into sales was in business generation. This is where I discovered I really enjoyed working in a constantly changing environment, meeting and building relationships with new people, and helping solve the challenges organizations are confronted with. I came across Pega while researching tech companies that were achieving real results for clients and decided I really wanted to challenge myself.

What do you enjoy about Pega’s culture?

The one thing I do notice at Pega, which I haven’t seen anywhere else, is that people are genuinely excited about the technology that we sell. That’s motivating for me.

In your lifetime, in general, what do you think has been the most impactful piece of technology? Why?

I would say the proliferation of social media – this has given us the ability to instantly connect all over the world. I’ve been blessed to spend many years of my life traveling, and this has given me the chance to keep in contact with the friendships I have made along the way.

What’s your favorite Pega memory thus far?

I’m lucky enough to have travelled quite a lot during my time at Pega, and I would have to say the best memories are created when travelling. Specifically, I attended the Chairman’s club trip to Maui, Hawaii. It was memorable because there was a great sense of achievement among attendees, but also Pega allows you to bring a guest, which gives your loved ones the opportunity to peer into your work life and truly understand what you do for many hours a day.

Finally, what advice do you have for people who want to expand their career at Pega?

My advice to anyone would be:

  1. Be ready for a challenge.
  2. Take the opportunity to own your own growth - there are opportunities at Pega outside of your normal responsibilities, and you have the autonomy here to explore other areas of interest.
  3. Enjoy the ride and don’t take yourself too seriously!
