3 Things to look out for at PegaWORLD 2015

PegaWORLD 2015
Customers in financial services, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, communications & media and beyond will all share their success stories, best practices and insights.

With my second PegaWORLD fast-approaching, I can’t help but think about last year’s event as I look ahead to what’s in store at the company’s largest-ever user conference on June 7-9 in Orlando.

Immediately following the 2014 event, I blogged on my most significant takeaways. In some ways, those takeaways still apply today. Here, I’ll show why these three trends will carry over at PegaWORLD 2015.

1. Implications of Digital Transformation for the Enterprise

The digital transformation taking shape globally has disrupted the way all companies do business. Winners are emerging, and there will be plenty of other market gyrations along the way. One market where this tumult has uprooted the status quo immensely is healthcare. Consumers have more choice than ever, and control their healthcare plans now more than ever. When else could it be more important to be driving digital transformation, from an “outside-in” approach? Cigna’s Dr. Mark Boxer will speak on this in his Monday morning keynote, “Engaging the New Healthcare Consumer in a Digital World.”

2. What Thought Leadership Looks Like

The vision and thought leadership ingrained in Pega’s DNA will be evident everywhere. Whether it’s the 80-plus Pega customer sessions on the main stage and in breakout sessions describing their own digital transformations made possible by Pega, or training sessions before and after the conference, it all adds up to the same thing: Pega is leading the way into the digital future. You can see why in three short hours on Monday morning. This starts with CEO Alan Trefler, who will highlight the importance of evolving your CRM; just minutes later, CTO Don Schuerman shows how our strategic business applications can deliver success via Cloud; then Senior Vice President of Products Kerim Akgonul talks on “The Complete Customer Journey”. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention some of the sessions I’ve had a direct hand in, like our customer panel “Innovating in a Highly Regulated Industry”, our breakout on “Case Management: The Science of Keeping Promises”, or the workshop on Wednesday entitled “Integrating Pega with Enterprise Data Strategies”.

3. The True Scale of What is Possible

In my short time here, I’ve had the pleasure of talking with customer after customer about the real business results they’re driving. I can’t help but be struck by the true magnitude of the business impact that Pega makes possible. The successes are rapid and dramatic, and the numbers are most often measured in billions of dollars. This year will be no different. Customers in financial services, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, communications & media and beyond will all share their success stories, best practices and insights.

PegaWORLD is an amazing way to quickly get to know the company I’ve now worked for over the last year. But don’t take my word for it. See for yourself, and let me know your thoughts. See you in Orlando!
