Senior Software Quality Engineer, Robotics Engine

Helping clients improve their customer and employee experiences, while reducing their operating costs, is core to Pega’s strategy. Knowing where and how to make improvements is critical for success. Process and Taskmining’s AI powered service identifies and prioritizes improvement opportunities for our clients and drives radiation of Pega products. We design, develop, deploy, support, and operate the Process and Taskmining SaaS offering. This product analyses processes and employee desktop activity to surface actionable process optimizations. We use robots to collect and transmit the desktop activity to our cloud. AI is applied to determine the best opportunities for improvements. We offer specific recommendations to the business, which include automation opportunities, process improvements, technology refreshes, and coaching. These recommendations are typically solutioned through the sale, implementation, and radiation of Pega products like Intelligent Automation, Robotics, Customer Service, etc. We are on a mission to evolve beyond just providing insights, to automatically generated automations.

At Pegasystems, Delve into the world of Analytics using our Process & Taskmining application. Work with the latest cloud technologies like Node JS Angular JS, React JS, Java Script, Core Java, AWS, Spark. Learn automation technics and develop skills to write automated tests using BDD, Playwright with TypeScript, Cypress, Performance with JMeter, Jest, API automation with SuperTest.
What You'll Do at Pega:
70% of your time will be consumed by performing the following activities
Design and develop high quality software test cases and test plans which are
- Create and execute manual test cases and report results
- Manage bug triage, escalation, and verification
- Provide feedback on products based on ease of use and user interaction
- Research and keep up to date on industry standard testing methodologies and technologies
- Work closely with other quality assurance teams
- Juggle multiple tasks and function well under pressure
- Work in a fast-moving, agile environment
- Communicate effectively with both Development Teams and Senior Management
- Present technical issues and status to Development and Management teams
- Strong understanding of QA methods and best practices, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) knowledge.
- Knowledge of Automation Framework and continuous improvement. Should have experience in Defect Management.
30% of your time will be consumed by performing below activities
- Manual testing and other responsibilities and key result areas as required or assigned
Who You Are:
- 2-4 years professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
- Experienced in backend API test automation
- Experienced in integration test development
- Experienced in Web app UI automation
- Proficient in Quality Assurance Methodologies, Python/Selenium/Cucumber framework, API testing, Java - OOPS concepts, GIT/SVN
- Knowledge about CICD and Jenkins for automation pipeline creation and exectution
- Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development using Playwright or Cypress with TypeScript
- Knowledge of complete software development cycle

- Experience testing UI
- Experience ensuring features meet user story requirements
