Meet Our Team:

As a member of one of the most innovative and fastest growing groups at Pega, you will work closely with engineers and product owners across the globe to build a highly scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. As part of this team, you will be working at the nexus of Pega Infinity running on Pega Cloud,  providing the tooling automation for our Pega Cloud Operations team helping to ensure our clients receive data access requests, configurations changes, software maintenance and updates in a standardized and consistent manner all without downtime using the latest Cloud technologies.

In this role, you’ll help us lead a team that’s design, develop, implement, test, deploy and operate the components and services that power Pega Cloud services. What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Provide leadership to engineering teams (two teams - around 8 people) that build Cloud Services following the established software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality standards.
  • Develop, inspire, mentor, and evaluate the engineering team by providing technical training plans, career growth guidance, and continuous feedback.
  • Enable the teams to deliver functionality by collaborating with multiple stakeholders including cross functional teams, architects, product owners, scrum masters and others.
  • Ensure that the delivered work meets functional and technical requirements, and quality standards.
  • Identifying the need for training and talent development.
  • Review designs and code and provide meaningful feedback, and the detail orientation to follow-up on all technical topics.
  • Advocate technical excellence and strong software engineering best practices.
  • Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
  • Facilitate innovation to drive towards engineering excellence.

 

Who You Are:

You are a team lead/manager having experience in cloud technologies and passionate about exploring and applying this to help solve real business problems.

 

What You've Accomplished:

  • 6 – 9 years of software development experience, preferably in a product development company + at least 2 years as technical lead or manager.
  • Managed a team of software developers. Provided guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Worked with them to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Partnered with internal clients & product managers to align implementation with business goals & outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, with an ability to implement code that meets engineering excellence standard with minimal oversight.
  • Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience.
  • Experience with RDBMS.
  • Experience in Development, Deployment and Writing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using one of the following cloud platforms: (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack).
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) & containerization (Docker) and deployment/management of containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  • Exposed to design and development of scalable services on cloud using Java/Go-Lang, container (Docker) and AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Exposed to Microservice (Lifecycle management), Kubernetes, Multi-tenancy (infrastructure), Multicloud, Cloud migration of the system, or any combination of these.
