Pegasystems to Spotlight Case Management with IBM at Gartner Application Integration Summit
CAMBRIDGE, Mass, Nov. 15, 2004 — Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA) will showcase its comprehensive work with IBM on their Business Performance Management (BPM) initiative when it previews smart case management on IBM platforms at the Gartner Application Integration and Web Services Summit today. The Gartner summit runs from November 15–17 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
As an IBM strategic alliance partner, Pegasystems has integrated its PegaRULES Process Commander V4 platform and smart case management — the streamlined, automated handling of customer issues such as opening an account, processing exceptions and automating order-to-cash processes — with the IBM WebSphere(a) middleware stack, as well as with IBM Workplace(a), IBM DB2 Content Manager(a), DB2 Universal Database(a), the eServer zSeries, pSeries and xSeries servers running Linux, WebSphere Portal(a) and Tivoli(a) application management suite. For the first time, Pegasystems will preview at the Gartner summit its automated order-to-cash invoicing application integrated into IBM's BPM.
IBM's BPM combines business process management, business intelligence, IT services management, and collaboration and visualization tools to align a customer's core assets - people, information, technology and processes. This enables an organization to create a single, integrated view, with real-time intelligence, of both its business measurements and IT system performance.
