Pegasystems Receives "Outstanding" Rating in New Gartner Report on Case Management

Report evaluates 11 vendors against 11 critical capabilities and four use cases.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – February 26, 2014Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA) today announced that it has received the highest possible rating given of “Outstanding” in Gartner Inc.’s research “Critical Capabilities for Case Management.”  Pegasystems was identified as such out of an evaluation of 11 BPM and iBPMs vendors included in the report.

The “Outstanding” description, according to Gartner, is their “assessment of the vendor's strategy, and its ability to enhance and support a product throughout its expected life cycle” and covers the four major areas of strategy, support, execution and investment.1

The vendor comparison by Gartner analysts Janelle B. Hill, Kenneth Chin, and Rob Dunie asserts that “Case management frameworks built on BPM suites offer an alternative to specialty applications and custom coding to help solution architects and business process directors implement case management solutions.” 1 The analysts go on to state that compared with commercial off the shelf software (COTS) applications, case management frameworks (CMFs) “built on a business process management suite (BPMS) are easier to change and extend by altering visual metadata via models.”1
