Pegasystems Receives the Highest Scores in All Four Use Cases of Gartner’s 2015 ‘Critical Capabilities for BPM-Platform-Based Case Management Frameworks’

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – August, 24, 2015 Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA), the software company empowering the world’s leading enterprises with strategic business applications, today announced it received the highest scores in all four use cases in a new analysis from Gartner Research on market-leading case management framework solutions for its Pega 7 application infrastructure platform.

In the report, Critical Capabilities for BPM-Platform-Based Case Management Frameworks (1), Pegasystems received the highest scores of 12 vendors included and in all four use cases evaluated by Gartner, including investigative cases, incident management, service requests, and process-to-decision scenarios.

Gartner made the following observations concerning case-management in the report: "designing a software application to address this unstructured process style – case management – is challenging. This complexity has relegated it to a specialized software application area for years. Case management frameworks represent a new approach to addressing these requirements. They are configurable ‘apps’ meant to help solution architects accelerate the delivery of unique and flexible case management solutions."

Pega 7 is an industry-leading, model-driven application development environment and platform for Pega’s portfolio of strategic business applications. It empowers business people to create and evolve their critical business systems, simplifying and automating operations so that organizations can reduce costs and improve business agility.

This report follows other recent BPM and case management industry analyst reports that identified Pegasystems as a leader, such as Gartner’s Magic Quadrant on BPM-Platform-Based Case Management Frameworks (2), Gartner’s 2015 Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Business Process Management Suites (3), and Forrester Research’s The Forrester Wave™: Dynamic Case Management report (4).

Quotes & Commentary:

“We believe this latest accolade from Gartner Research further solidifies Pega’s long-standing leadership position in building strategic applications, including CRM apps, using dynamic case management as a key ingredient,” said Don Schuerman, CTO and VP of Product Marketing, Pegasystems. “The scalability and flexibility of Pega 7 simplifies how real work gets done in nearly any industry to help businesses improve efficiency and customer experience.”
