Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to send anonymous surveys to 50,000 American employees working for midsize businesses (between 1,000 and 5,000 employees) to determine their willingness to recommend their workplace to friends or family. Additional criteria included opinions about their employer’s working conditions, salary, potential for development, and image, as well as an evaluation of other employers in their respective industries.
