Pegasystems Named as Finalist for the 2007 MITX Technology Awards
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 30, 2007 — Pegasystems Inc. (Nasdaq: PEGA), the leader in unified process and rules technology, today announced that for the second year in a row it has been named as a finalist for the MITX Technology Awards. The 4th annual MITX What's Next Forum & Technology Awards recognize innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements. The Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) is the region's premier association for thought leadership, technology trends, business networking and professional training and development.
Pegasystems, a premier provider of Business Process Management (BPM) software, garnered recognition from MITX due to its Customer Process Manager (CPM) solution that drives best-practice processes for customer service, sales and marketing. CPM provides a powerful combination of customer service capabilities that match customer and business intentions at the moment of interaction. This real-time customer response processing improves the customer experience and increases user productivity. CPM provides "one-and-done" customer service automation, incorporates best-practice processes to meet the growing needs of today's service organizations, and enables the rapid development of new composite applications.
"Pegasystems appreciates being named as a MITX finalist for the second straight year," said Jay Sherry, vice president, Marketing and Solution Frameworks. "We're seeing growing interest in our customers using BPM technology for customer service and contact center demands and are confident that our leading rules-based technology will continue to gain even more traction."
"The regional economy is showing real strength, and it's in no small part due to the resurgence in the technology sector and the innovation that fuels so much of the growth," said Kiki Mills, executive director of MITX. "The MITX Technology Awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognize the companies that are leading the way and to celebrate their accomplishments and that of the entire technology community."
Pegasystems will be recognized with the other finalists in the category of customer relations at an awards ceremony attended by the region's top technology and business professionals. Last year, Pegasystems was named winner of the IT operations category. This year's winners will be announced at the ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston on Tuesday, June 5, 2007.
