American National Insurance Company Expands CRM Capabilities to the Web with Pegasystems
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jun. 26, 2001 — Pegasystems Inc. (Nasdaq: PEGA) today announced that American National Insurance Company (Nasdaq: ANAT), a Pegasystems customer since 1998, has expanded their Pegasystems Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation to include the Web component of PegaCRM. Credit insurance customers can now get up-to-date policy and claims information however they choose: over the Web, by phone or through authorized agents. By deploying policy and claims related information over the Web, the Pegasystems' solution is helping to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The Web-based component of Pegasystems' rules-driven solution allows agents to perform claim status and other credit insurance inquiries over the Web. By providing quick and reliable access to information over the Web, licensed agents can use a standard Web browser to check on claim status, review policy coverage details and pertinent claim and policy information. The PegaCRM Web solution helps deliver seamless, consistent information across all banks, credit unions, auto dealers, furniture stores and finance companies served by the Credit Insurance Division. With Pegasystems' rules driven process automation technology, the Credit Insurance Division can extend its service reach across many time zones and many customers.
"Expanding our Pegasystems solution to include Web capabilities was a clear choice based on the reliability, compatibility and high quality of our existing PegaCRM implementation," remarked Charles H. Addison, Senior Vice President, Systems Planning and Computing Division, American National Insurance Company. "Incorporating the Web component to our current PegaCRM suite generates not only an increased return on our software investment, but also provides ANICO with a competitive advantage that benefits our agents and their customers."
"By providing agents with innovative, Web based services, one of the nation's most prestigious insurance companies is validating Pegasystems leadership as the company that makes CRM work said Joe Friscia, Executive Vice President of Sales and Service, Pegasystems. With the PegaCRM Web component, ANICO is leveraging the power of a rules-driven solution to deliver best business practices and the highest level of customer care and convenience."
