The Digital Team at Pegasystems creates, maintains, and continuously improves the websites that help people learn, sell, and buy Pega applications. They are a growing, global group of developers that work on digital properties spanning internal and external audiences across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific Region.


Picture Yourself at Pega:

In this role, you’ll work with a diverse team of content creators, developers, and designers to help shape the content editor experience across multiple Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 properties. You will be a key member of the Digital Backbone project, which unifies the look and feel across all Pega’s digital properties, including both Drupal and Pega implementations.


What You’ll Do at Pega:

  • Resolve complex Drupal issues reported on existing production systems
  • Work on Drupal theming layer (CSS, JS, templating) to resolve performance and usability issues
  • Work on Drupal backend and Database layer to resolve data integrity, security, and performance issues
  • Review error logs to identify and fix production bugs
  • Build/code state of the art Drupal 7 & 8 websites and create/maintain web solutions using the standards and best practices of the Drupal community
  • Leverage Drupal Contrib modules and develop custom modules to meet the standards of Pega’s digital sites
  • Partner with stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams to delivery services through externally facing digital properties and seamlessly integrate websites with Pega’s enterprise systems and deliver outstanding user experiences


Who You Are:

  • An experienced software engineer that has worked in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Proficient with Drupal 7 & 8 PHP, HTML, and CSS
  • A technical problem solver that thrives in a team environment and can also work independently
  • Dynamic developer who can adapt quickly to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Passionate, lifelong learner with a positive, can-do attitude and a relentless aspiration for improvement
  • Active member of the Drupal community


What You’ve Accomplished:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with UI technologies
  • 3+ years of PHP development experience with a CMS
  • Advanced knowledge of Drupal 7 & 8 and SSH and Unix command line skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality web experiences
