The Intelligent Automation team articulates the horizontal perspective of one of Pega’s three primary engagement strategies and offerings. The team engages each and all functions of the business to clarify and align the specific expectations or deliverables needed to win big. This includes market and buyer insights, value propositions, product roadmap investments, marketing mix and allocations, sales and go-to-market coverage, delivery, and ecosystem efforts.

As a Product Marketing Sr. Director, you will work across product, sales, marketing, and industry teams to ensure our core technology proposition of Intelligent Automation is communicated across the buying team, especially to technology buyers.  You will ensure product strategy and positioning is aligned with emerging market trends and sell, market, and evangelize to technology leaders at the world’s largest organizations.

What You’ll Do at Pega:

Product positioning through thought leadership, content, and sales enablement

  • Provide thought leadership, content, and enablement to position Pega’s product to technology buyers
  • Create and maintain content such as messaging frameworks, buyer personals, presentations, case studies, demonstration scripts, sales training (CBT and classroom), data sheets, web copy, video assets, etc.
  • Create, review and deliver product demonstrations to ensure they effectively show our key differentiators
  • Participate in delivering sales training, serving as an expert on Pega technology and architecture

Market Analysis, Product Strategy, and Direction

  • Create and drive a cohesive plan to build our market leading position to significantly grow market share
  • Review the overall market and identify key opportunities and threats and work closely with product management to impact product direction:
  • Identify key market and technology trends and their impact on product direction – regulations, technology advancements, buying patterns, customer requirements
  • Evaluate competitive offerings and their impact on Pega’s product positioning
  • Identify potential new features, functions and technology to be included within the solution
  • Manage and execute product launches
  • Measure and manage impact of marketing activity on the customer lifecycle, bookings and revenue

Generate Market Awareness and Provide Direct Support for Sales Opportunities

  • Evangelize Pega Intelligent Automation technology through webinars, roundtables, blogs, podcasts, social media, events and other similar media to generate market awareness in our target accounts
  • Participate directly in support of sales opportunities through tailored presentations, content development and software demonstrations
  • Present Pega’s strategy and vision to key influencers and executives at our target accounts
  • Provide subject matter expertise in support of marketing campaigns
  • Participate in analyst relations activities such as briefings, the development of responses to “waves”,” quadrants”, etc.; attend and present at key analyst events
  • Present at Pega and key industry events
  • Create and publish thought leadership materials such as blogs, white papers, eBooks, podcasts and videos
  • Participate in press activity – such as publishing contributed articles and conducting interviews

Who You Are:

You are a curious technologist, engaged problem solver and empathic communicator! You can communicate the value of sophisticated technology in a way that educates and engages the buyer. You have experience in product strategy, development and marketing with past enterprise software delivery experience.

What You’ve Accomplished:

  • 15+ years of experience in Product Management / Product Marketing / Program Management
  • Deep knowledge of the SaaS technology landscape: including cloud infrastructure, Amazon Web Services, DevOps, Performance testing, Agile Development and Security
  • Ability to credibly engage with senior architects and developers at client organizations
  • Experience selling and marketing applications and software to large enterprises, including at the executive level
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams
  • Experience delivering marketing launches of enterprise software
  • Ability to manage up, down and across the organization to get desired outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA “toolkit” – an MBA is not required but the ideal candidate will understand core business function
