Independent Research firm, Forrester Research Inc., recently performed an evaluation of software products supporting Dynamic Case Management (DCM), the results of which are presented in this report, the "Dynamic Case Management Wave" published January 31, 2011. In this evaluation, Forrester notes that "Pegasystems leads with dynamic 'build for change' capabilities." "The DCM approach presents a stark contrast with the more traditional BPM method" states the report, where "The primacy is with the case, rather than an individual process definition. Instead of tracking work items against a standard process, DCM products enable multiple processes to influence the management of an individual case instance." "Dynamic case management has become a major priority for the vendor [Pegasystems] as it strives to provide agility for a packaged and legacy environment through advanced rules- and case-based support."
