Smart Case Management supports content, but is not defined by it. The result is a more “ergonomic” feel to content management.
Most large organizations have multiple content management systems. Given this, while Smart Case Management supports basic content management, it also “plays nicely with others” allowing you to easily incorporate multiple content management systems into your case management.
What we mean by “ergonomic” is that using Smart Case Management, when your users interact with content, the way they do so is the same, regardless of where that content is stored. This means that they don't have to search multiple repositories, or learn appropriate versioning conventions for multiple systems. They interact with the content in the same way, regardless of where it is stored. So no matter how complex your organization and its supporting systems are, your workers don't have to suffer from the complexity of your content management system.
